Original 1977 Star Wars A New Hope Ralph McQuarrie Concert Art Print which we have recently had professionally framed. The frame is 48cm x 33cm and the picture is 33cm x 16 cm.

This atmospheric painting depicts the Millennium Falcon being drawn into the immense Death Star by its tractor beam. McQuarrie uses the enormous scale of the docking area, heavy weapon emplacements and small human figures to emphasise the overwhelming size and power of the Imperial battle station.

The painting was created later in the film’s development, after the Millennium Falcon had evolved into the familiar design seen in the finished movie. McQuarrie also contributed to the matte work used to bring the Death Star hangar sequence to the screen.
